How does it work?
The sand classifier is a machine used to separate sand from water by settling. The sand and water mixture enters the settling tank; here, the sand and other organic substances settle by gravity onto the tank floor. A screw removes the settled sand and organic matter and carries them to the discharge point. The treated water flows out over the weir inside the settling tank.
How is it built?
The structure is made of AISI 304 stainless steel sheet.
The settling tank is designed to prevent material from clogging inside it.
The trough is fitted with a deflector and a weir to keep the water flow constant.
The conveyor screw is made of FE 510 carbon steel.
The worm gear is directly coupled to the conveyor screw.
