Sulzer ABS Disc Diffuser System (Nopon)
The Sulzer ABS disc diffuser system (formerly Nopon) is one of the world's most widely installed fine-bubble aeration systems, available with four diffuser models. Pre-assembled diffuser elements allow fast and easy installation, and retrofits are available to increase the aeration efficiency of existing plants.
All diffusers have a built-in non-return valve that prevents sludge from entering the aeration pipework when the air flow stops. The KKI215 and PRK/PIK300 diffusers are interchangeable for retrofits.
Main features
- Reliable and long-lasting, low pressure drop and high efficiency
- Built-in non-return valve on every diffuser
- Quick installation and flexible layout; aeration capacity can be increased later
- High temperature endurance, suitable for aggressive wastewater
- PIK300: polypropylene body with anti-friction ring, continuous or intermittent aeration
- PRK300: strong body for SBR, MBR and MBBR; PRF300 retrofit for 215 mm diffusers
- KKI215: for deep basins up to 15 m; Sucoflow DS 20: high-density and retrievable systems
Applications
- Aeration of municipal wastewater
- Aeration of industrial wastewater (with some restrictions)
- Upgrading existing aeration grids
