Belt filter press is a machine to be used for sludge dewatering, by gradual pressing between two permeable belts, crossing each other in a “S” way, made by rollers of

decreasing diameter. Sludge, conditioned by chemical reagents, is discharged into the feeding hopper, where the first separation takes place, by gravity of the water
contained in the sludge. Sludge is then turned over on the other belt and, after the cone zone, it is pressed between the two belts in the pressing zone.

Pressing action increases thanks to the different diameters of the pressing rollers. Washing water and filtrate are discharged into the storage tank, while the dehydrated

sludge is removed from the belts by scrapers. Dewatered sludge is then deposited outside the machine.
Belts washing is done by two bars of washing nozzles, which spray the water onto the clothes at a pressure of 5 bar, supplied by a centrifugal pump.

 

COMPONENTS

BEARING STRUCTURE with steel section bars hot welded and galvanized.
ROLLERS in stainless steel AISI 304 decreasing in diameter from 400 to 101. The first roller is perforated and the stretching and centering rollers rubber coated in NBR with thickness of 5 mm.
The CLOTHES STRETCHING is carried out using pneumatic pistons, where the body is in aluminium and the stem is in stainless steel AISI 304, feeded by electrocompressor 24 lt, 8 bar (supplied with the machine) which controls the pneumatic system on the machine.
The CLOTH ROLLER CENTERING is controlled with pneumatic sensors, solenoid valves, pneumatic pistons and feeler pins with spring recovery.
Bearing SUPPORTS UCPA 206 complete with lubrication points.
The CONTROL PANEL is installed on the flank of the machine and includes the centering solenoid valves, the air system with filter and lubricator included; pressure regulator, terminal box and pressure switch for safety in case of low pressure from the air compressor.
The FILTER CLOTHES are manufactured from polyester fabric complete with clip junctions in stainless steel AISI 316, with cloth thickness 1.8 mm (correct for a wide range of sludges).
SCRAPERS in antifriction material (high density polizene), remove the sludge from the clothes at the discharge point of the machine. These are fixed on supports equipped with balance weights. The fixing is realized by round head bolts UNI 5732 in stainless steel AISI 304 on slotted holes, for the future adjustments.
DRIVE is by electric motor complete with inverter with transmission crown and chain type ¾” x 7/16” for a cloth speed from 1.12 to 7.1 m/min. The unit is complete with electric drive IP 55 B 5 class F, 400 Volt, 50 Hz.
The ELECTRIC, HYDRAULIC and PNEUMATIC PARTS of the unit are wired and assembled on the machine, with terminal board for the electric part, filter for the wash water and plumbed air fittings PVC 6x8 (electrocompressor 24 lt 8 bar).
