EMEC LOTUS chlorine dioxide generators
LOTUS generators produce chlorine dioxide for the control of micro-organisms in water systems in many industries. They are particularly recommended for reducing, controlling and preventing Legionella in hot and cold water systems.
Chlorine dioxide has a high Redox potential and a stronger disinfecting action than other biocides against Legionella, viruses, bacteria, fungi and algae. Its effect does not depend on the pH of the water, it is not aggressive towards pipes and it lasts longer and reaches further from the injection point.
LOTUS systems are safe because ClO2 is never handled as a gas: two liquid chemicals, hydrochloric acid (HCl) and sodium chlorite (NaClO2), react in a reaction chamber at atmospheric pressure and produce only the amount needed. An active carbon filter prevents emissions, and an optional gas detection sensor is available. LOTUS systems can also be monitored and controlled remotely through the EMEC Nimbus web system.
Models
| Model | Range | Max. capacity | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| LOTUS MINI | 8–20 g/h | 480 g/day | Compact, complete solution; production proportional to water flow or setpoint, no ClO2 storage |
| LOTUS EASY | 8–80 g/h | 1,920 g/day | All-in-one system with controller and two dosing pumps; production proportional to water flow |
| LOTUS AIR | 10–60 g/h | 1,440 g/day | Pressure-less generator with ClO2 storage tank, for several injection points; diluted HCl 9 % and NaClO2 7.5 % |
| LOTUS MAXI | 80–1,000 g/h | 24,000 g/day | For large water treatment plants |
| LOTUS ULTRA | 1,000–4,000 g/h | 96,000 g/day | For the largest plants; concentrated HCl 33 % and NaClO2 25 % |
Models “with probe measure” also include a ClO2 probe (SVCL2/SVCL17) or an mV probe (ERH), a probe holder and a filter.
