General description
Longitudinal bridges are designed for rectangular tanks; the unit travels in both directions, controlled by a system of limit stops that reverse its direction of travel via two mechanisms fitted underneath. These are called the SURFACE SCRAPER (grease or floating matter) / BOTTOM SCRAPER (sand extraction) and they remove grease and sand.
Equipment components
Frame: Made of rolled carbon steel sections (A/42-b), it is the main structural element of the machine; at its ends are the carriages, made of the same rolled carbon steel sections (A/42-b).
Handrail: Fitted along the edge of the bridge for protection, the handrail is made of tubular carbon steel sections (A/42-b).
Scraper arms: Made of tubular sections and carbon steel sheet (A/42-b) or AISI-304 or 316 stainless steel, with the reinforcements, stop and other components needed for correct operation.
The electrical panel consists of a (Himel) cabinet housing the electrical components that drive the cleaning system.
