The spiral compactor conveyor conveys and compacts, in a single operation, waste collected from: automatic screens, filter screens, rotary screens, etc.
Depending on the application, the dry content of the output material is 30%- 40%.
The compactor carries the collected material into the pressing section, where the conveyor spiral is surrounded by a filter screen.
The end of the spiral stops short of the outlet, so the material is held back and compacted.
The degree of compaction can be adjusted by changing the screw length and the pressure applied to the outlet cover (fitted with counterweights).
The unit normally operates intermittently, and the result is not affected by variations in the incoming material.
