Sulzer HST 20 Turbocompressor
The Sulzer HST 20 is a modern, silent turbocompressor with proven active magnetic-bearing technology and a high-speed motor driven through a built-in frequency converter. It delivers up to 7,000 Nm³/h at a pressure rise of up to 100 kPa, with an input power of 100–190 kW.
Because the rotor levitates on magnetic bearings before starting, there is no mechanical wear, even with frequent starts and stops. With no liquids inside and no wearing parts, the HST needs minimal maintenance and has no scheduled overhauls during its lifetime.
Main features
- Active magnetic bearings – no mechanical wear
- High-speed motor with built-in frequency converter
- High efficiency and low life-cycle costs
- Low noise, integrated silencers – no extra soundproofing
- No oil or other liquids inside
- Small footprint; several units can work together, also with roots, multistage or screw blowers
Applications
- Aeration in municipal wastewater treatment
- Aeration in industrial wastewater treatment
- Low-pressure industrial processes
