Sulzer HST 40 Turbocompressor
The Sulzer HST 40 is the largest model of the HST turbocompressor range. It delivers up to 16,100 Nm³/h at a pressure rise of up to 85 kPa, with an input power of 300–400 kW, and is designed for large aeration systems in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants.
Like all HST units, it combines a high-speed motor and built-in frequency converter with active magnetic bearings: no mechanical wear, no liquids inside, low noise and minimal maintenance, with no scheduled overhauls during its lifetime.
Main features
- Airflow up to 16,100 Nm³/h – the highest in the HST range
- Active magnetic bearings – no mechanical wear
- High-speed motor with built-in frequency converter
- Low noise, integrated silencers
- No oil or other liquids inside
- Several units can work together, also with existing blowers
Applications
- Aeration in large municipal wastewater treatment plants
- Aeration in industrial wastewater treatment
- Low-pressure industrial processes
